Privacy Policy

Your files

PDFs you open in Foldline are processed on your device, inside your browser. They are not uploaded to Foldline or to any third party, and they are discarded when you close or reload the tab. Foldline does not read, store or share the contents of your files.

Information we collect

Foldline has no accounts and does not ask for your name or email. Like any website, the server that delivers pages to you may record standard technical data such as your IP address, browser type and the pages requested, usually for security and reliability. If you email us, we receive the address and message you send.

Third-party services

Foldline loads its fonts from Google Fonts, so your browser contacts Google’s servers when a page loads and Google receives your IP address and browser details as part of that request.

The OCR tool downloads its text-recognition engine and language data the first time you use it, from a public content delivery network (unless this site hosts them itself). Those requests reveal your IP address and the language you chose, never your PDF. The files are cached by your browser afterwards.

Passwords

When a PDF asks for a password, what you type is used inside your browser to open that file and is then discarded. It is not sent to Foldline or anyone else. The same goes for a password you choose in Add password: it is used inside your browser to encrypt the copy and is never stored or sent.

Children

Foldline is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect personal information from them.

Changes
